Beginners sock class : Socks – the perfect present!
In this class we will break down the construction of the top down hand knit sock, and work on knitting up a sample. We look at how to turn a heal, decrease the toe and there will be lots of options of sock patterns to take home with you. This could also be the first time you will knit with 5 double pointed needles, ready for the challenge? Confidence with the knit stitch required. All pattern and materials provided.

Cowl Knitting : This style of neck wear is everywhere these days, why buy one at the store when you can make one yourself?
This pattern is a straight forward construction, knit on circular needles with a highly addictive stitch pattern. But, add in knitting with two colours and it pushes the task to another level. Want to explore naturally dyed yarn? Select the option and get to knit with and know the wonder of colour found in our native plants. Confidence with the knit stitch required. All pattern and materials provided.

Beginning Weaving
This class will start with the basics in weave structures, color, and texture using different weaving techniques; plain weave, tapestry weaving, and free form weaving. You will be provided the yarn that will best suit a beginning project. You will learn how to calculate the yarn needed, wind a warp, thread the loom, and learn weaving patterns that will best suit the warp and weft. Rigid heddle looms will be shared and are not part of the class supplies, so a short warp will be used to get a shared project completed in one day.

Felt for Foodies
Simple hand and machine sewing are all it takes to make hand picked goodies for your “little ones” next pretend party. Felt squares, batting and foam make up the majority of materials with beads, buttons, lace and pre-made flowers for decoration. In this class you will complete a basket of seasonal fruit and veggies. Included in the kit will be patterns for all the pastries shown.

Reversible Garden Hat
Wear this hat inside or out or inside-out. It’s the perfect project for the summer that will protect your face, neck and scalp. You will also look positively stunning while digging in the dirt. You can bring two pieces of fabric 3/4′ of a yard of your choosing or pick from the selection of fabric we have for an extra materials fee.
